NAIL TIP: Short Nails

29 Mar

DSC02949

If anyone knows about slow growing nails…it’s me. However, I’ve read and found that there are certain colors for your nails that make them look longer and more glamorous. Red and black polish is more flattering on short nails. If the nails are a rounded, almond shape it makes your style look more modern and chic.

Here are my nails with silver and black accents.

NAIL IT: How to Make Polka Dots

25 Mar

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to show you all how I do make polka dots on my nails. For this look i used two colors: Avon Limeade and L.A. Girl Matte Hot Pink. I used two coats of the Avon Limeade. Once the polish dried, I attached a straight needle to the end of a pencil eraser like this:

After this, I gently put the the needle in the L.A. Girl polish and placed the dots neatly in a row. Try not to get too much polish on the needle. This just makes the dots clumpy and takes longer to dry. Here are some other polka dots designs I found online you all might like. Enjoy!!

Week of the Sharpie! ~Friday~

22 Mar

Hi everyone! This week I have been going over different ways to do your manicure with a Sharpie marker. It’s easy to apply and all you s0084908_sc7have to do if you don’t like it is remove it with rubbing alcohol. To make sure it stays, you can spray a little hair spray on top of it, then apply a top coat. Here are three design ideas, I found online. Enjoy!
