How to Shape Almond Nails

15 Mar

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHappy Friday everyone!!!

Today I wanted to share with you all how to shape almond nails. I would love to show you myself, but my nails are not currently long enough and I don’t want to go to the nail shop to get them done. Sooooo, what’s the next best thing? YOUTUBE! One question I have always heard is how to tell the difference between Stiletto Nail and Almond Nails. Well, Stiletto nails are pointier and usually longer than almond nails. Although they both can get pretty long, I prefer the Almond nails. Stiletto’s remind me Cruella Deville. 🙂 and who better to give us an illustration than Rihanna herself.

Any who, here’s the video that describes the shaping process for long almond nails. Please not that you can adjust the length. I prefer the short ones.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

NAIL REVIEW: Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips

18 Feb

Yesterday I tried the Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips for the first time. (Yes I’m slightly late!) I got them on clearance for $4.25 at Target; I think regular price is around $7.00.

They were fairly easy to apply after a few times of doing them. My only complaints with the product is that they only give you 16 strips. I have 10 fingers. So it’s a little frustrating that they give a few extra but make you buy another pack if you want to do all your fingers again. However, you probably could use the extra for special designs on individual fingers. My other complaint is that the polish is supposed to last for 10 days, but today is my second day and it’s already chipping a little.

Overall, I would buy these again- but only if on sale. But enough about that, here are a few pictures of me completing the process.

Let me know of how this has worked out for you all. I want to know if I’m the only one with an experience like this.
